Terms of Service
1. Who we are
courtorders.net (the "Service") is operated by CourtOrders, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company with its principal place of business in Tempe, Arizona ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account or accessing the Service you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. Eligibility & account access
The Service is intended for licensed attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals. You must be at least 18 years old. Each account is for a single individual; sharing credentials is prohibited. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account.
4. Permitted use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal legal practice. You may download and cite individual minute entries in connection with that practice.
5. Prohibited use
- You may not scrape, crawl, mirror, or bulk-download the Service or its underlying database.
- You may not resell, sublicense, or republish substantial portions of the Service's content or derived data (including action-tag classifications, survey grant rates, or any other compiled metadata).
- You may not use the Service to train machine-learning models, build a competing product, or create a derivative database.
- You may not attempt to reverse engineer the Service or interfere with its operation.
- You may not use the Service to engage in unlawful, defamatory, or harassing activity.
6. Source data
Minute entries and decisions on the Service are public records of the Arizona courts — including the Maricopa County Superior Court, the Pima County Superior Court, and the Arizona Court of Appeals. We provide them as a search and reference convenience. We do not warrant the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any individual entry. Always verify against the official court record before relying on a minute entry in any legal filing or opinion.
7. No legal advice; no attorney-client relationship
The Service provides information only and does not constitute legal advice. Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and us. AI-generated features (including but not limited to ruling predictors, related-entry suggestions, and chatbot responses) are best-effort summaries and may be wrong; do not rely on them without independent verification.
8. Subscription, billing, and cancellation
Where a paid subscription applies, fees are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the account portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms, suspected unauthorized access, or non-payment. Upon termination your right to use the Service ends immediately.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
12. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Exclusive venue for any dispute is the state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
